New Multicolor Fluorescence Western Blotting Kits Allow Near-IR Fluorescent Detection
MENLO PARK, California – June, 2014 – Advansta Inc. announces the addition of two new kits to its multicolor fluorescence (MCF) line of Western blotting kits. Advansta’s MCF and MCF-IR kits allow simultaneous detection of two proteins for improved efficiency and increased accuracy. Researchers save time and money compared to chemiluminescence detection by running one blot instead of two, and by avoiding the need to strip and reprobe chemiluminescent blots. Because two proteins are imaged on the same blot, more accurate comparisons of protein levels are possible than when comparing two independent experiments or stripped and reprobed blots.
All kits include blocking and washing buffers, labeled secondary antibodies, and pre-cut low-autofluorescence membranes for 10 experiments, as well as quenching sheets for optimal imaging. Choose the WesternBright MCF kit for imaging systems compatible with visible fluorescence or the MCF-IR kits for systems compatible with IR700 and IR800. These kits provide researchers a convenient workflow solution to their fluorescent Western blotting needs. Learn more about Advansta’s WesternBright MCF and MCF-IR kits here.
